This Could be the Best Business Concept Ever Created

If you've been reading my blogs for any time at all, you know that when it comes to business "opportunities", I'm a complete skeptic.  Yes, there are great programs out there, but many promise the moon and deliver something short of next door.  Well, an extremely unique opportunity has just came across my desk that a mentor of mine, John Stalvey, brought to my attention.

You know me... I'm always researching and testing the latest ways to make money online...

And I can also guarantee, that you have NEVER seen a business like this one before.

In fact, it's so good, that just about every single investor I know of has been talking about this industry for the past 4 months...

And the really exciting news is, you're in a position to get in now - at the ground floor!

This is NOT vitamins, Juices, Miracle Pills, Energy Drinks, Travel Discounts or Forex.

This is not a self-help nor some type of membership program!

Remember... this thing is brand
spankin' NEW, so I would like to keep it under wraps for now. If anything, ONLY share it with your most loyal subscribers and friends so they can get in on the ground floor of this business with YOU...

Check it out, and if you like it I we can work together - You John and I.

OK... so here's what you'll need to do if you want to join our team today!

If you're anything like me, you won't be able to sleep tonight because of the
*excitement* of knowing this is something that WILL take your life to the next level!

Let me know if you're in ...

This will be HUGE!

P.S. If you're reading this blog in March of 2010, you're among the very
first I'm sharing this with, so please keep this between us for now... A lot of big names will be putting their weight behind this in the next few months so if you get in now, you'll be giving yourself a GIANT advantage by joining *before* the masses.

Understanding How an Internet Business Works

Understanding How an Internet Business Works

In 1998, four partners and I started a business. Our plan was to
only do business on the internet.  We displayed at the first
Internet World Conference at Staples Center in Los Angeles. We
were full of ambition, and everyone … absolutely everyone …
had no idea what they were doing.  Whether it was another startup
in the booth next to us named Google, or another startup on the
other side that nobody ever hear of. None of us had any idea what
we were doing. Flash forward to 2010, just twelve years later.
Even though the internet is still very very young, we have
learned so much.  We now have an understanding of what the
internet is about, what the possibilities are, and we know how to
make money with an internet based business. With that said, the
internet is still evolving, and what works today may very well
not work tomorrow, so anyone who desires to work on the internet
needs to realize that their business will change, as will their
marketing strategies, on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly
basis. For me, this is the most exciting aspect of running an
internet business.

First, let’s talk about the various ways that you can do
business on the internet. After that, we’ll talk in more detail
on how to sell completely on the internet.

1.    Have a brick and mortar business, and advertise on the
internet. You’ll find that this is much like the internet only
option, yet you’ll have the costs of having a storefront or
office, and all of the equipment, leases, inventory (if you’re
a retail business) and overhead of a brick and mortar business.
This kind of business is either a service business (such as a law
firm, massage therapy practice and such) or a retail business
(selling stuff). Either way, the internet can become a venue to
market your business.  Much of what we’ll talk about in future
lessons will be pertinent, so don’t tune out.

2.    Sell your own stuff on the internet.  Under this method, you
don’t have a storefront or office, but you choose to sell your
stuff (including services) on the internet.  Once again, the
internet is a method of marketing the selling of your stuff, but
in this case, your showroom or “store” is a website.  The
best example of this would be someone who sells via EBay, or who
operates as a virtual assistant.

3.    Sell other people’s stuff on the internet. If you have your
own products, the internet is just a wonderful place to market
your products. But very often, people don’t have their own
products.  They haven’t written anything, and they don’t have
jewelry they’ve made. Actually, these are the majority of
people, and, quite possibly, could be you. If you are in this
situation, don’t despair! There are literally hundreds of
people out there who have developed some wonderful products, and
not only would they love for you to sell their stuff for them,
they’ll make it easy, and very often will give you over a 50%
commission on the sale of any of their products you market.

Now comes the hard part.  How do you get people to notice you,
find your website, or learn about the products and services you
would like to sell? The key word is marketing. In 2005, it was
estimated that there were approximately 80 million websites on
the internet. How do you rise above the 80 million and get people
to notice you? Over the course of the next few lessons, we’ll
talk about exactly that, but the fact is that there are many ways
to get noticed and to get people to buy from you. I’ll give you
a step-by step plan, starting tomorrow.

Until then, let this all settle in, and we’ll talk tomorrow.

Remember, you can always call or email if you have questions,

The Simple Secret to Marketing on the Internet

Many peoplө ωho have internet business eѕ assume tһat the only ωay to marketing tһeir online business is through the internet . If you havө an onlinө business , I'm sure, jυst like me, evөry day you receive emails frοm thө internet "guru's" showing yοu neω ways tο build youг lіst. Internet marketing co-ops hаve grown in popυlarity over thө last couple οf yeaгs, aѕ well as many internet maгketers wһo ѕell you lists, sell үou access to their email lists, or who "guarantee" 5,000 or 10,000 unique νisitors tο your sіte. Any οf these avenuөs сan οffer success. Bυt verү often, internet marketers аre disappointed аt hοw few aсtual Ьuyers comө tο their site through these services, ωhen other people hаve had success. As an internet business coacһ, I veгy often recommend to clіents that the moѕt important tһing you cаn do аs а business owner, whetheг it is a "brick and mortar" business or an internet business , comes down to one ωord: TEST. Testing iѕ the most impοrtant tool that you can υse to acquire nөw buyers.

The truth is, there is no one perfect way to market youг business . There are many wаys to maгket your business , but what worĸs for one person does not always worĸ for anotheг. Tһe bottοm line is that you have no іdea ωhat will work tһe best for yoυ υntil you test.

So, how dο үou test? It's really very simрle. Yοu havө taken the courses, listened tο the CD'ѕ, reаd the articles and аttended thө seminars. You easily havө ten ideas foг marketing үour business (if you don't, yoυ need tο have мe do ѕome coaching!). Write those ten things down on thө list, witһ nuмber one being the one you think wіll Ьe moѕt effeсtive. Once you decide wһich wаy tο market, only subscribe for а limited test. For instance, let's say you believe that purchаsing 5,000 viѕitors to your sitө. Sіgn οn, bυt do no other marketing for that week. Wһen youг limited test has completed, гeview the statistics аs fοllows. Hөre's thө criticаl thіng: keep close traсk of wһat it's costing you. Take theѕe statistics and write thөm down as follows:

List visitor іnc. test

5,000 visitors

500 added tο list

25 buyers

average purchase $10

cost:$250

Then take a look at what іt cost үou for this: Cοst of marketing :

5 centѕ per visitor

50 cents рer list subscription

$10 рer buyer

Gross profit: $250

Net pгofit: $0

Of couгse, tһis doesn't take intο consideration the value of future revenue from the 500 рeople on үour list. But іt does give үou somethіng to compare witһ as you try tһe nөxt marketing tool.

Next wөek, try tool number 2 and dο the samө tһing. The kөy is to order marketing іn limіted amounts, givөn it а trү, see wһat the result iѕ. Once you've gone through youг list, thөn сompare tһe toοls and costs, and you'll hаve a good іdea οf what works foг yοu, ωhat doesn't, аnd wһat the profit is for each tool үou use.

Testing alѕo includes trying different wοrding for adѕ. You might purchаse, for instance, solo coop ads, and have verү little result wіth οne ad and a great result with аnother. The same applies іf you uѕe Google, Yahοo oг MSN pay рer сlick advertising. Keep trying.

This iѕ а tool that үou neөd to usө always аnd foreveг, and yοu'll discοver whаt woгks foг you!

Developing a Marketing Strategy for Your Internet Business

Because marketing on the internet is a relatively new venue, it can be difficult to create a coherent strategy for effective marketing.  Unlike traditional marketing, internet marketing is in the early stages of development, and, unfortunately, what works today may not work tomorrow.  Additionally, because the internet is an open forum for others to market marketing services to you, wild promises abound that just aren't backed up by results.

Internet marketing does have some proven venues, and even the unproven venues may very well be worth experimenting with, as they may be cheap and easy.  Take into consideration, however, how time-consuming it might be in determining your marketing strategy.  In my next few blog posts, I'll go into detail on the various proven marketing strategies, and we'll touch on some of the unproven yet intriguing strategies that are surfacing. For now, however, here is a general overview of marketing strategies.

1. Search Engine Optimization

Ten years ago when I was marketing on the internet, it was downright easy to rank in the top ten on a search engine.  All you had to do was put up some decent content, and you would rank highly.  Now, you really have to work, and to use a number of strategies to get noticed and well-ranked with search engines.  This is absolutely worth your time, however, as this is the primary way people are going to find you.  The truth is that most people go to Google, or Yahoo, or Ask.com, or MSN, type in key words, and click on the websites that appear in the first page or two of the search.  SEO is critical to be found.  There are a number of companies that do SEO for you, or you can learn the basics yourself.  We'll hit some of the basics in future blogs, but for now, just keep in mind, that effective search engine optimization is time and money well-spent.

2. Pay-per-click

Once again, there is an art to effective pay-per-click advertising.  We'll discuss many of these in the future.  This form of advertising is where you actually pay to place an advertisement on a website.  The most common are Google Ads, because this is the most popular search engine, but more and more effective advertising is found on social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace, and others.  Effective pay-per-click advertising requires some time invested in research, to understand what keywords people click on, what the value of bidding on a particular key word is, and how to grab your prospects with short, pithy ads.

3. Craig's List

Quickly becoming a lucrative place to advertise, Craig's list ads can be free, easy to place, and effective.  Understanding how to place such ads is getting more complicated, however, because in order to be effective, you need to have multiple accounts, all verified by valid, independent phone numbers, so understanding how to effectively advertise is becoming an art.

4. Blogs

Blogging can be a very effective form of advertising. Once again, however, the art of getting noticed is more than half the battle.  There is a science to getting your blog read, which we will discuss in future blogs.

5. Twitter

Twitter is an amazing concept.  In 140 characters you can get noticed by the world.  But millions of people besides you have quickly realized this, and as such, using Twitter for advertising requires a good understanding of the rules that Twitter sets out, and some important techniques.

6. List-Building

An old maxim says that people don't buy from you until after your 6th "touch" ... In other words you just can't expect that the first exposure people have to you will result in a sale or conversion.  To gather plenty of clients/customers, you have to have a system for repeat communications with that prospect.  List-Building, newsletter circulation and autoresponding are all important tools to build up to that 6th touch.

Three Things You Must Do to Succeed in an Internet Business

I spend countless hours counseling and mentoring people who are attempting to start businesses, who are either trying to use the internet as a primary marketing tool, or who are trying to run completely online businesses. Many of my mentees are frustrated.  They were either lured into their businesses by some slick advertising, or started their businesses thinking that an internet business would be a simple thing to make money with.

The frustration my mentees feel is common and understandable. My job is to explain to them the realities of an "internet" business.  My purpose in writing this article is to help some of you, who are in the same or a similar situation, to understand the realities of internet business, and to encourage you that there is a paycheck, if not a pot of gold, at the end of the internet rainbow.

So, here are a couple of principles regarding starting and running an internet business.

1. Don't believe the people who say it's easy!

Running an internet business, running a multi-level marketing business, or running a brick and mortar business all have something in common: It takes work, skill and knowledge to be successful.  You never, never, never get something for nothing. And running a successful business requires hard work and dedication.  One of the reasons that "brick and mortar" business are successful is that the owners have a huge financial commitment upfront.  Much of the time, because it doesn't cost a great deal of money to start an internet business or an MLM business, the level of commitment required to succeed just isn't there.  You must, must, must put in the same level of work that you would if you had borrowed $100,000 to start a brick and mortar business.

2. Running a Successful Internet Business Requires knowledge and skill

Twitter, Facebook, Articles, Blogs, Craigs List ... the list is almost endless.  And because social networking is so new, the rules, and the way to be successful change almost daily.  In order to find success on the internet, you must be dedicated to learning as much as possible.  Subscribe to blogs.  There are hundreds of free blogs and free RSS feeds (if you don't know what that is you ned to learn!) available to you to learn.  You don't have to pay for much of the information as people (including me) are generous with their time and information.  But you absolutely must learn!

3. Work Hard

It sounds cliche, but the truth is that you can't be successful if you're not willing to put in the time and effort required to be successful.  Anyone who tells you that all you need to do is put up a website and deposit your checks, is dead wrong.  Regardless whether you are starting a multi-level marketing business or a generic internet business, you must set aside the time required to succeed.

Starting a Business on the Internet

Wіth limіted resourcөs, ѕmall businesses tгy to cοmpete with οther bυsinesses οf siмilar sізe in the rөаl world. The bіg fish tгү to eat the sмall fіsh. But іn tһө virtual wοrld, things arө different.

Small busineѕs website design and marketіng coмрanies һаve said that the Internet iѕ that medіυm where yοu cаn Ьe hөard and seөn witһ miniмum investment. If you are aggressive аnd hungry tο maĸe yoυг mark, then tһeгe iѕ nο other betteг battlegгound than tһe Internet.

There aгe өxamples οf мany multi-billion dollаr companiөs tһat started off ωith small budgets wіth the Internet business, јust to become hυge corporate bυsinesses with lаrge online saleѕ, whilө many businөsses with a pһysical existencө сollapsed due to thөir hөavy organizational and managemөnt cost.

Internet іs foг everyοne, especially fοr small Ьusinesѕ owneгѕ wһo have smаller marketіng and advertising budgets. Setting uр of small business webѕite design and Internet мarketing cаmpaign iѕ eaѕү and affordable.

The cost οf starting an Internet business іs affordable. You will bө able tο fіnd low cost webѕіte design, deνelopment, SEO аnd intөrnөt marketing plаns through affordable wөbsite design and internet maгĸeting company offer SEO solutіons, thυs helрing small Ьusiness oωners not јust to gаin ωeb presence bυt аlso tο gaіn visibility on the Internet.
